Summer Storm

Yes, I know I am updating my blog after ages. From now on, would seriously try to be as regular as possible (atleast once a week).
I have been watching many gay-themed movies lately. The movie spree started with Latter Days. After that one, have watched Beautiful Thing, Boy Culture and Just a Question of Love.
I just finished watching another flick by the name 'Summer Storm'. It is undoubtedly the best of the lot.
Summer Storm is a story of a closeted guy who is in denial of his sexuality. He falls in love with his best friend (who is straight). The movie showcases how the guy comes to terms with who he is, and finally is confident enough being gay. It is a sensitive story and you really feel for what the guy is going through. Watching the person he loves make out with his girlfriend, warding off the moves of another girl who falls in love with him, putting a facade of being straight, the repulsion and feeling of disgust he feels when he first makes out with another gay - all these emotions have been beautifully portrayed in the movie. I would say it is a must watch, not only for people who are gay, but also for straight people.
Among all the movies I have seen till now, I would rank them in the following order :
1. Summer Storm
2. Just a Question of Love
3. Beautiful Thing
4. Latter Days
5. Boy Culture

Look out for further posts from now on! ;-)

I'd have put Beautiful Thing up higher.. its a good film.

I was kinda bored watching Summer Storm.

Have you seen Broken Hearts Club.. its got a good cast, as has Flawless.. they are both really good. Less about sex/nudity.. more focus on story.

you should check them out.

I don't thin I've heard of Just a Question of Love.. will check it out.
