Life is boring, and office is even worse. With most of the clients away on vacation, there is almost no work. Boss being away on holidays adds to the lethargy and lack of motivation to do anything.
So for 10 hours everyday, I am just sitting and staring at the computer screen. The brain, which is already pretty rusted, adds a bit more Ferrous Oxide in such times.
Am going to see a musical today (La Cage Aux Folles) with the doc (who is staying with me till Sunday) but am not excited about that either.
I don't know how people live the office-home-office-home routine all their lives. Following this schedule for just 2 years has made me partially insane. I find it difficult to imagine what would happen 5 yrs down the line. And the situation will be even worse if I am still single till then (which, in all probability, I will be!). :(

I think people intersperse office-home with other activities. Like catching drinks with friends, having people over, going shopping, going to the gym and so on... You could try that... A lot more socialising, I mean! A good way to meet people as well...
You're amongst the most lethargic & negative (not connected) people I know. Give introspecting a shot.
@Prash -> Did take a couple of weeks off when parents were here. And took 3 days off when I went to Delhi. Can't take any more holidays for the time being.

@USP -> I have a very close set of very good friends, and sadly none of them is in London. And I don't really like making friends for the sake of it, where conversation is an effort and superficiality is at its best. I am pretty unsocial, and you are not the first person who says that. But I can't change myself. Would rather be alone and miserable than be a social butterfly. A lot many people (maybe even you) mistake my introvertedness for arrogancy, but so be it.

@Swathi -> Already taken many hols. Now would be taking a couple of weeks off towards year end for sis's marriage.
