The Last Straw

A typical Delhi morning. Both me and my sis wake up to our parents shouting at the top of their voices, accusing each other of a gazillion things, blaming each other for the lack of any preparations for the wedding, abusing each other's relatives. Things have remained the same for the last 26yrs (30yrs, in the case of my sister).
We have been witnessing such scenes since time immemorial. And today was just another day. Nothing had changed. 30yr olds crying, 60yr olds unrelenting. But there was one difference this time. The 26yr old had decided that he had had enough. He stepped in, and shouted at the top of his voice - "Will you guys shut up?! This is the last wedding that this household will be witnessing, and it is extremely shameful that you can't make it a happy affair. I am definitely not getting married. Cos I am GAY! I like guys, and not girls. So FUCK both of you."
Did things change after the outburst? Mmmm...no, not really. Just that the 30yr old cried even louder.
