While most people usher in the new year singing, dancing and drinking, I will be welcoming the new year with the usual crib on my lips and a frown on my face. What else am I supposed to do?! I have my flight to Delhi tomorrow morning and I haven't even started packing my stuff. Dad has sent such a long list of things to bring back - shoes that I had purchased in June which broke within 3 months and thus have to be thrown back at the shopkeeper, unused medicines (god knows why), some tax papers (damn, that reminds me I haven't filed my returns for this year and I guess the last date is sometime in January :( ) and some other random things.
Now packing doesn't really take more than 2 hours. But me being me, I keep procrastinating it till the last moment. I will crib about it to anyone and everyone who comes online, change my facebook and gtalk status messages to 'Rebel hates hates hates packing', even frikkin write a blog entry about it, but I would not get my hands dirty and get it over with.
For the last 6 hours, I have slept, eaten, chatted, surfed, fixed my wireless connection which wasn't functioning, listened to music, made a list of people I need to catch up with in Delhi (well there are not that many, but I had to pass time somehow, right?) and done everything that could have been done, save for picking up the suitcase and dumping stuff in it. I cancelled all my new year eve programmes because of this as well. :(
Enough rant, I guess I should get my fat ass moving and do it before it gets too late. :(
